Gold, greatness, and glory are all up for grabs in the Mixer Matchups x Microsoft Store North American Championship featuring Fortnite; a nationwide tournament where you and your squad can win it all.

Okay, maybe not gold, but we’ve got the next best thing: cold, hard cash.

The multi-regional North American Championship begins on Friday, October 19th at participating Microsoft Stores, and the tournament series will run every Friday until the Championship Finals on November 10th. Anyone can enter for your very own chance at the $10,000 weekly prize pool and the opportunity to win an additional $15,000 in the final event! Here’s some details your squad will need before boarding the Battle Bus. There are three phases to progress to the North American Championship: Local, Regional, and National competitions. Each week, the tournament will focus on a new region – Central, Southeast, Northeast, and West – where local Microsoft Stores will host Phases 1 and 2. Qualifying teams from these events will have the opportunity to come back to their store and win it all in Phase 3, the Championship Finals.

Phase 1 – Local Competition:The North American Championship featuring Fortnite will be separated by region, by week at the following dates/times.

  • Central Region – October 19th – 5:00 – 10:00 PM, local store time*
  • Southeast Region –  October 26th – 5:00 – 10:00 PM, local store time*
  • Northeast Region – November 2nd – 5:00 – 10:00 PM, local store time*
  • Western Region –  November 9th – 5:00 – 10:00 PM, local store time*

*Check-in begins at 3:30 PM local time, and tournaments will start at 5:00 PM. Be sure to arrive early to secure a spot. Times may vary per store, check your store listing for details.

20 Stores per region will each host their own local tournament. Squads will be permitted on a first-come; first served basis. Pre-registration is required for all interested participants, but only a limited number of teams to arrive at the store for check-in will be guaranteed a spot. Phase 2 – Regional Competition: The winning team from each store will advance to a private server competition against other winning squads within the same region.

  • Private server matches are hosted on the same day, immediately following the qualifying rounds within each region.
  • Select teams will be invited to compete in Phase 2; invitational teams will be announced the week of the event.

Phase 3 – Championship Finals: Regional champions and qualifying teams will face off in 5 private server matches to determine the winning squad on Saturday, November 10th at Microsoft Stores across North America. Qualifying teams will return to their Microsoft Store to compete in the cross-city Championship Finals against other stores.
